"The final mural I painted in Sicily. I wanted to bring the view of Valle
dell'Alcantara (the countryside just above Graniti 1km away) with vineyards,
orange & olive trees, bouganvilliea and figidinias plus the Ionian Sea in
the distance into the town of Graniti. Painting is 25' wide x 11' tall."

born in Rome - graduated in London in 2011
Made in a mosaic-like painting technique, a very slow and meditative painting process. The mural aims to give an identity to the area where it was made. A fountain (lavatoio) was once nearby, and it now remains in the memory of Graniti inhabitants. The subject of the painting was shaped and transformed by listening to the locals' stories and their memories on the place. The artist included elements of her own imagination to supply her lack of knowledge, being from another city. Colours aim to bring a sense of serenity and lightness.
